Chong Long Gong Temple is a historic Chinese temple situated in the charming coastal village of Kampung Segenting, approximately 20โ30 minutes from Batu Pahat town. Established around 1864, it stands as one of the oldest temples in the region and holds significant cultural and spiritual value among the local Chinese community.

Primarily dedicated to Tua Pek Kong, the temple has long been a place where fishermen seek blessings for safety, good fortune, and successful journeys at sea. Over time, it has evolved into both a revered place of worship and a popular cultural attraction for visitors.
One of the templeโs most distinctive highlights is its โfortune fishโ pond, home to large Arapaima. Visitors are invited to gently touch these fish, a symbolic act believed to bring prosperity and good luck.

Set against a serene seaside backdrop and adorned with vibrant traditional Chinese architectural elements, the temple offers a peaceful and picturesque environment. Its tranquil surroundings make it an ideal destination for both spiritual reflection and leisure visits.
Within walking distance of the temple, visitors can find a seaside restaurant offering lunch and dinner with scenic ocean views. The nearby bridge and mural in Kampung Segenting also provide excellent photo opportunities, adding to the overall visitor experience.
