Tjhia Family House (Cagar Budaya Rumah Keluarga Tjhia) is a remarkable historical complex located in the heart of Singkawang. Recognized as an official cultural heritage site, it stands as one of the oldest surviving structures in the region, offering a glimpse into the city’s rich past.

Constructed between 1901 and 1902, the house reflects the legacy of early Chinese settlers in West Kalimantan. Its architecture is strongly influenced by traditional Northern Chinese design, showcasing intricate craftsmanship, symmetrical layouts, and classic ornamental details that highlight the cultural heritage brought to the island.

More than just a historic residence, the Tjhia Family House represents the enduring presence and contributions of the Chinese-Indonesian community in Singkawang. Today, it serves as an important cultural landmark, attracting visitors interested in history, architecture, and heritage tourism.
